Braveheart Farms Acquires Kuvasz Herd Dogs
by Vice Governor Manny Piņol
The prized Hungarian herd dogs, Kuvasz, are now in the Philippines, specifically in Kidapawan City, North Cotabato Province.
The Braveheart Farms, one the country's top breeders of Boer, Anglo Nubian and La Mancha goats, has acquired a pair of the beautiful herd dogs from Dr. Jeanne Koploy, DVM, of Royal Oaks, California.
Dr. Koploy, on the other hand, originally bought the pups from Aegys Kuvasz, a known Kuvasz herd dog breeder in the US.
Braveheart Farms owner Vice Governor Manny Pinol, who named the male 6-month-old pup "John" and the female pup "Sarah" said that while the pair of Kuvasz did not carry with them AKC pedigree papers, both are offsprings of champions owned by Aegys.
He said the pair of Kuvasz herd dogs will be staying with the growing herd of goats owned by Braveheart Farms.
