The Lakeshore Farms at Kelseyville, California

With the entry of Braveheart Farms into the breeding of dairy goats, the task of finding the best source of breeding stocks started with endless email messages, telephone calls and farm visits.

One of the farms we visited was the Lakeshore Farms at the city of Kelseyville on the shores of California's largest natural lake, Clearlake.

The farm is owned by the Tredway family and is managed by daughter Megan Tredway-Carter, who recently married Aaron Carter of Texas who breeds La Manchas.

Megan Tredway-Carter is acknowledged as one of the top breeders of Anglo-Nubians in America today. In spite of her youth, her name is mentioned with a lot of respect by other goat breeders all over the country.
