At Texas Ranch

The search for Boer breeding materials to be brought home to the Philippines took Vice Gov. Manny Piņol and his friends, Jack Alejandro and Ferdie Dalope on an 18-hour trip by Jack's Honda SUV to San Angelo, Texas.

There, James Stinson, a young rancher from Austin, Texas, brought us to the different ranches in San Angelo and facilitated the purchase of the first batch of 100 doelings (Boer x Spanish Goats) to be brought to the Bravheart Farms in the Philippines.

Here are some of the pictures of the visit:

A herd of Boer and Spanish goats is being guarded by the South American Llama which protects the goats from predators like foxes and coyotes.
The young does undergo a test weighing to determine how much they would weigh when loaded on a Philippine Airlines flight from San Francisco. The goats will first travel 2,000 miles from San Angelo to San Francisco before they would be loaded on PAL flights to Manila.
