Braveheart Farms to Show
Goats in Manila Agrilink
by: Manny F. Piņol / July 29, 2007
The number of goats to be shown during the show, however, will depend on whether there will be buyers after the show.

Luzon, until now, is still considered a risk area for the dreaded Foot and Mouth Disease and the Bureau of Animal Industry has zealously guarded the exit of animals from Luzon to either the Visayas or Mindanao which are both FMD free areas.

Goats that will be shown during the Agrilink will have to stay in Manila after the show, thus the need for takers.

Those that may be shown  during the Agrilink include:

1. Rawhide W5 which is an imported buckling born in California out of Rawhide Bo Rowdy and Rawhide Bailey. W5 came with her mother Bailey when she was bought by Braveheart Farms from Kim Dougherty. W5 is a handsome young buck who at five months weighs about 40 kilos. He is being offered for sale because of the preference of Vice Governor Manny Pinol for horned goats. W5, who was dehorned in the US, carries a registration paper with the American Boer Goat Association. He is open for bidding and will only be shown in Manila if the purchase agreement is finalized.

2. BHF Venado which is a son of 70 Rocky over BHF First Lady. First Lady is named such because she was the first doeling born out of the imported Boer breeding stocks in 2003. BHF Venado has been reserved for Nick Silva of Batangas Province and he will be taken home by Mr. Silva after the show. In June, Braveheart Farms sent Nick Silva Rensonii and Indigo Ferra seeds along with Mulberry cuttings in preparation for the arrival of BHF Venado.

3. BHF Ginobili which is another son of 70 Rocky over 3R Splitear, a doe which Braveheart Farms acquired from the 3R Ranch in Turlock, California. HIs picture is posted in the gallery page for kids. Just like Rawhide W5, Kobe will only be shown if there will be takers after the show.

4. BHF Kobe which is a Red Boer buckling out Rawhide Stormcat out of BHF One Horn, a Red Boer doe which Braveheart Farms imported from California in 2004. He has a twin sister who will remain in the farm for the Red Boer breeding program.

All offers for the the bucklings, except for BHF Venado which has been reserved for Nick Silva, may be sent to braveheart_efp@yahoo.com.
North Cotabato's Braveheart Farms, grandslam winner of the 2007 National Goat and Sheep Congress Boer Goat Show, will show some of its young goats in the Department of Agriculture (DA) sponsored Agrilink Expo at the World Trade Center in Manila October 2 to 6.
This is Rawhide W5, a 5-month old buckling born in California out of Rawhide Bo Rowdy and Rawhide Bailey. He carries an abga registration paper and may be shown during the agrilink in manila if there are takers after the show. Open for bidding.
